Dubai Charity Association implements Al Adahi Campaign annually as part of its humanitarian programs, aiming to deliver sacrificial meat to eligible families both within the UAE and abroad during the days of Eid Al-Adha, as part of its commitment to meeting the needs of beneficiaries as a key priority The Association carries out this campaign in fulfillment of the religious purpose of Al Adahi, reflecting values of giving and strengthening community solidarity, through distributing meat to those in need and bringing joy to their hearts during the days of Eid. It also plays a key role in facilitating the performance of this ritual on behalf of donors, ensuring that their entrusted donations of meat reach the rightful beneficiaries in accordance with the highest standards of organization and reliability. In this context, the Association relies on an integrated operational system that ensures accurate tracking of all stages of Al Adahi process—from selecting approved suppliers to overseeing slaughtering and distribution in line with Sharia and health regulations. Distribution is carried out by qualified field teams, ensuring that the meat reaches beneficiaries on time and with the highest possible quality. Conditions of the Sacrifice (Sacrificial Offering): • It must be from livestock: camels, cattle, or sheep (including goats). • It must have reached the required age. • It must be free from clear defects that affect its health or the quality of its meat The Time for Slaughtering the Sacrifice: The time for sacrifice begins after the Eid al-Adha prayer and continues until sunset on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. This gives Muslims four days to perform this act of worship. Recommended Etiquette and Sunnah Acts: • Whoever intends to offer a sacrifice should refrain from cutting their hair or nails from the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah until the sacrifice is made. • It is Sunnah to eat from the sacrifice and give part of it in charity, fostering compassion and social solidarity within the community.
