The delegation of the "Tibtum wa Taba Mamshakum" initiative has returned safely to the homeland, concluding their Umrah rituals and spiritual visits in Makkah and Madinah. They return with unforgettable memories and valuable life lessons that will serve as a positive turning point in their lives — illuminating their paths with the light of faith, shaping balanced personalities, and instilling in them a deep sense of pride in their identity.
The "Tibtum wa Taba Mamshakum" initiative, in its second edition, is the result of fruitful collaboration between the Ministry of Family, as the organizing body, and Dubai Charity Association, as the main sponsor. It is a noble humanitarian project that primarily focuses on providing a group of 12 young Emirati participants, along with the supervisory team, with the opportunity to perform Umrah, accompanied by a comprehensive educational, cultural, and historical program.
This collaboration between Dubai Charity Association and the Ministry of Family in implementing the initiative is a leading example of effective partnerships between the government and charitable sectors. It directly contributes to achieving the broader goals of the United Arab Emirates in the areas of social cohesion and youth empowerment.
After Allah granted the delegation the blessing of performing Umrah with ease and peace at the Sacred House in Makkah, the group embarked on a spiritual journey to explore significant religious and historical sites. In Makkah, the pilgrims had the honor of visiting the Cave of Hira, where the revelation descended upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the Cave of Thawr, where the Prophet and his companion Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) took refuge during the Hijrah. These visits were far more than mere sightseeing — they were moments of deep reflection on the noble biography of the Prophet and an opportunity to connect with the profound legacy of Islamic history.
The delegation then traveled to Madinah, the City of the Prophet, where they were filled with serenity and reverence as they visited the Prophet’s Mosque. The pilgrims also made sure to visit Al-Baqi Cemetery — the resting place of many of the Prophet’s noble companions and family members — where they offered prayers for them and reflected on the greatness of their sacrifices.
Among the sites visited by the delegation was Mount Uhud — the location of one of the most significant battles in Islamic history. There, the pilgrims paused to reflect on the heroism and sacrifices of the noble companions. The delegation also visited Quba Mosque, the first mosque built in Islam, and Al-Qiblatain Mosque, where the Qibla (direction of prayer) was changed from Jerusalem to the Holy Kaaba.
The visits did not stop there; they also included a tour of the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization — an interactive museum dedicated to presenting a comprehensive and civilized portrayal of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), his noble character, and virtuous manners, while showcasing the true essence of Islam. Each stop along the journey carried valuable lessons and reflections, adding a profound spiritual dimension to the entire experience.
The participating youth expressed their overwhelming joy and deep gratitude for the "Tibtum wa Taba Mamshakum" initiative, praising the meticulous organization and exceptional care they received from the moment they departed until their return. They affirmed that this journey was not merely an opportunity to perform Umrah, but a comprehensive life experience that allowed them to deeply connect with their history and faith, and to spiritually recharge their souls.
