Ahmed Al Suwaidi: More than (2) million beneficiaries from Dubai Charity Campaign initiatives (The goodness endure) this year.

Dubai Charity Association announced that its Ramadan campaign " The goodness endure" launched in the month of Sha'ban this year and concluded at the end of Eid al-Fitr, succeeded in benefiting 2,039,457 individuals within the UAE and 17 countries worldwide. The campaign aimed to reach out to 1 million beneficiaries within and outside the country. This was achieved through the implementation of a series of seasonal and developmental projects, including Iftar sayem, Mir Ramadan, Orphan's Joy, and Zakat al-Fitr distribution. Additionally, the campaign included the construction of 164 mosques, 1,958 wells outside the country, and other developmental and humanitarian projects.

Ahmed Al Suwaidi, the Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed, participated, encouraged, and interacted with the charity's largest annual campaign. He praised the donors as ambassadors of goodness, commended the efforts of the association's teams, and applauded the management for devising well-thought-out plans and implementing the necessary administrative and organizational measures to accomplish them. This collaboration for goodness and working with the spirit of teamwork to achieve the goals of "Goodness Endures" was highlighted. He also noted the remarkable response of both citizens and residents of the UAE to the campaign's initiatives, presenting wonderful human scenes distinguished by aesthetic values from the cultural heritage that characterizes the UAE society.

Ahmed Al Suwaidi emphasized that Dubai Charity Association, as one of the most important charitable institutions in the UAE, always works in its initiatives to bring happiness to the largest number of beneficiaries possible within and outside the country. This reflects the message and approach of the association in charitable and humanitarian work, contributing to the journey of human development advocated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him. This is in accordance with the ninth item of the Fifty-Year Charter, which stipulates "achieving annual growth in humanitarian work equivalent to and in line with economic growth.

The Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association mentioned that the Ramadan campaign "Goodness Endures" includes four main seasonal projects. It distributed Mir Ramadan to 10,000 families within the country and to 21,379 families outside the country. The number of beneficiaries from the Iftar sayem campaign within the country was 1 million beneficiaries, and 84,000 beneficiaries outside the country.

As for Zakat al-Fitr, it was distributed to 80,000 families. 400 orphans within the country benefited from Eid clothes, with a total of 33 sponsored orphans within the country during Ramadan and 1,270 sponsored orphans outside the country. Additionally, Ramadan food packages were distributed to 228 families of orphans within the country. The number of families benefiting from Zakat al-Mal was 82 families, and 81 medical cases were treated.

Following the initiatives and internal projects included in the campaign, the project management team of the association is scheduled to begin implementing the external projects outlined in the campaign. Dubai Charity Association managed to raise donations for the construction of 164 mosques and 1,958 wells outside the country.

During the campaign days, Dubai Charity Association received a generous donation from Dubai Islamic Bank, one of the association's key strategic partners, amounting to 25 million dirhams. This continuous support from the bank to the association is aimed at contributing to the implementation of its charitable projects and humanitarian initiatives related to Zakat al-Mal, benefiting the needy and those with limited income within the UAE.

Ahmed Al Suwaidi added: "Based on the main pillars of Dubai Charity's strategy and its institutional values, and its keenness to expand its partnerships, activate charitable work, promote volunteerism, and enhance social and humanitarian communication with various segments of society; we signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Emirates National Foundation during Ramadan. We participated as a strategic supporter in the 'Ramadan Aman' campaign sponsored by Al Ihsan Charity Association in Ajman. Additionally, we launched a Ramadan campaign for the second consecutive year in partnership with Smile Train Dubai, aiming to treat children with cleft lip and palate (known as the 'hare lip').

Ahmed Al Suwaidi highlighted Dubai Charity's contribution to the "Yak Al Awon 5" initiative, adopted by the "Emirates Today" newspaper, Dubai Courts, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai. This initiative aims to release financially troubled citizens and individuals facing legal issues related to financial matters. He also mentioned the association's launch of the "Empowerment" initiative through organizing a joint exhibition for productive Emirati families in partnership with Dubai Police, Dubai Community Development Authority, Dubai Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation, in collaboration with City Centre Mirdif - Majid Al Futtaim, the host of this exhibition.

Ahmed Al Suwaidi mentioned that Dubai Charity is keen every year to participate in the events commemorating Zayed Humanitarian Day by adopting and implementing projects and initiatives named after the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, in many countries around the world. The association celebrated this day by implementing two charitable projects: the first is the construction of Zayed Mosque in Burkina Faso, and the second is digging Zayed Well in Bangladesh.

Ahmed Al Suwaidi emphasized that achieving these record-breaking results in the campaign reflects the deep-rooted values of generosity, benevolence, and kindness in the heart and soul of the UAE community, considering it an inherent Emirati culture. He expressed immense gratitude to the donors, philanthropists, and campaign partners from governmental institutions, private companies, and all members of society, affirming the continuation of cooperation with partners in fulfilling the association's mission to promote values of solidarity, mutual support, generosity, charitable work, and humanitarianism in our beloved country.
