His Excellency Nasser Huwaiden Thiban Al Ketbi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, welcomed the delegation of the pioneering humanitarian initiative "Tibtum wa Taba Mamshakum" at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, in the presence of Ahmed Al Kaabi, Deputy Consul General. The initiative, organized by the Ministry of Family, includes a journey for a group of Emirati children to perform Umrah, in collaboration with Dubai Charity Association.
This noble humanitarian initiative aims to introduce the participating youth — a group of 12 children — to the significance of religious rituals, and to deepen their understanding of the noble principles of Islam, such as tolerance, compassion, generosity, and respect for others. It also seeks to strengthen both national and religious identity by connecting the children to their cultural and spiritual roots, thereby contributing to the development of a balanced identity that blends authenticity with modernity.
During the reception, His Excellency Consul General Nasser Huwaiden Al Ketbi praised the idea and significance of the initiative and its role in instilling religious, educational, and moral values in the hearts of children. He noted that providing support and care for this age group — who represent the future — during their Umrah journey contributes to shaping a conscious and spiritually aware generation, leaving them with a lasting positive impression of this great religious rite.
His Excellency also commended the joint efforts of all parties involved in organizing this distinguished initiative, and extended his best wishes to the delegation for a pleasant stay, hoping they gain new knowledge and experiences during their time in Makkah and Madinah.
For their part, the delegation members expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Consul General for the warm welcome, as well as for the symbolic gesture of honoring the delegation with a commemorative shield. This reflects the UAE government's keenness to provide all the means and opportunities that enable the younger generation to grow holistically — educationally, religiously, culturally, and socially — with the aim of building a conscious and responsible generation capable of actively contributing to the nation's ongoing journey of development and prosperity.
