In a humanitarian gesture that reflects the values of social solidarity, Dubai Charity Association organized a community initiative to support children from underprivileged families, especially orphans, on World Humanitarian Day. The initiative included distributing school bags and supplies for the new academic year to children, with the aim of easing the financial burdens on these families and ensuring a successful and joyful start to the school year for their children.
The initiative, launched under the slogan “Humanity Unites Us to Serve Our Community”, was held in the celebration hall at the association’s headquarters, in the presence of Eng. Adel Al Suwaidi, Board Member, Treasurer, and Operations Director at Dubai Charity Association, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Suwaidi, the Association’s Executive Director, along with a group of department heads, senior citizens, and a large number of children and their families, who expressed their joy in participating.
The initiative was not limited to distributing school bags and educational supplies; it also offered children a unique and enjoyable shopping experience. The children were taken to a stationery exhibition set up in the celebration hall, where they were welcomed by shelves filled with a wide variety of bags, notebooks, pens, and all the essentials for the new school year.
On this occasion, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, said:
"On World Humanitarian Day, we were keen to organize this humanitarian initiative that goes beyond the traditional distribution of school needs for our children. We wanted to give every child the opportunity to personally choose their own bag and school supplies, just like any other student preparing for a new academic year. This experience is not just about shopping; it is about strengthening their self-confidence, instilling a sense of independence, and fostering their integration into society."
The Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association added:
"This initiative reflects our commitment to providing support in a dignified and humanitarian way that contributes to building a better future for our children.
