A delegation from Dubai Charity Association embarked on a field mission, visiting three countries in West Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, and Ghana. The delegation aims, through this visit, to review the progress of the association’s various charitable and developmental projects, ensure that they are achieving their intended goals, assess the needs of beneficiaries, strengthen partnerships with local organizations, and expand the scope of the association’s philanthropic work.
The delegation includes His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of Dubai Charity Association; Mr. Mahmoud Sahlabji, Director of Resource Development at the association; Eng. Wisam Aribi, Head of the External Entities Department; and Eng. Ahmed Al-Tayeb from the Project Management Department.
This mission constitutes a key part of the association’s strategy to ensure that donations reach their rightful beneficiaries and are utilized to their maximum benefit. The delegation will review projects that have already been completed, such as well-digging projects, mosque construction, schools, Quran memorization centers, health centers, orphanages, and integrated villages, to ensure they effectively serve the target communities and meet the established standards. Additionally, the delegation will meet with local partners implementing ongoing projects to ensure that work proceeds according to the approved timelines and specifications.
On this occasion, His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of Dubai Charity Association, said:"At Dubai Charity, we believe that our responsibility does not end with sending donations—it begins there. This field visit to Benin, Burkina Faso, and Ghana represents a fundamental pillar of our work approach, which is based on the principles of transparency and accountability."
He added:"This mission provides us with a golden opportunity to assess firsthand the impact of our generous donors’ contributions and to ensure that the projects completed thanks to their giving have achieved their intended goals in supporting the most needy families and individuals. It also allows us to follow up on ongoing projects to ensure they are progressing according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, in collaboration with our trusted partners in these countries."
The CEO of Dubai Charity Association concluded by saying:
"Our goal is to ensure that every dirham donated leaves a positive, tangible, and sustainable impact. This visit reaffirms our commitment to providing accurate and reliable reports to our community, enhancing their trust in our humanitarian mission. We thank everyone who extends a helping hand and assure them that their donations are the driving force behind the positive change we strive to achieve around the world."
