Dubai Charity Association announced the launch of a special initiative to support education, in cooperation with the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai. The initiative comes as part of its annual education campaign “Alif Baa”, aiming to collect monetary and in-kind donations to support the education of underprivileged students and orphaned children.

In this context, His Excellency Abdulrahman Al-Hareb, Director General of the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, affirmed:

At the Financial Audit Authority, we believe that education is the cornerstone of sustainable development and the most important investment in the future of generations. From this standpoint, our partnership with Dubai Charity Association reflects our firm commitment to supporting community initiatives that enhance learning opportunities and open horizons for students from all segments of society.

The initiative, which runs until Friday, October 3rd, offers employees and visitors at the Dubai Financial Audit Authority the opportunity to provide various forms of support, including monetary and in-kind donations, to meet the needs of students from underprivileged families. This includes covering tuition fees, purchasing essential school supplies such as uniforms, bags, and stationery, as well as contributing to other projects under the Education Support Campaign.

The initiative was attended by H.E. Abdulrahman Al Harib, Director General of the Dubai Financial Audit Authority; Mr. Amer Al Qergawi, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector; and Mr. Majid Al Ansari, CEO of the Operations, Compliance, and Performance Audit Sector, along with the Corporate Social Responsibility team at the Authority. Also in attendance were H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Dubai Charity Association, and the association’s team.

In a press statement, H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Dubai Charity Association, said:

"We believe that education is not just a right, but the foundation upon which we build the future of generations. It is an investment in the abilities of our children and the future of our nation. Therefore, we consider this initiative to be more than just a fundraising event; it is a living testament to the spirit of solidarity and cooperation that distinguishes our society in the United Arab Emirates.

He added: “We are proud and grateful for our strategic partnership with the Dubai Financial Audit Authority. This cooperation reflects the commitment of government entities to supporting humanitarian and charitable work and to embedding social responsibility at the core of their operations. Such solidarity between the government sector and charitable associations enables us to reach the most vulnerable groups and provide them with effective support—especially in the field of education, which we consider a top priority.

In conclusion, His Excellency Abdulrahman Al-Hareb emphasized:

The Financial Audit Authority will continue its efforts to integrate social responsibility into its strategy and work with our partners to support education and enhance the capabilities of our youth, thereby contributing to building a cohesive society and a prosperous, knowledge-based economy.
