Dubai Charity and Al Wasl Sports Club have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at establishing a pioneering model for integration between the humanitarian and sports sectors, and building a sustainable framework for corporate social responsibility. This comes within the framework of strengthening institutional cohesion and reflecting the vision of wise leadership to make Dubai a global capital of giving and excellence.
The signing ceremony, held at the headquarters of Al Wasl Club, was attended by senior leaders from both organizations. The agreement was signed by H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Charity, and H.E. Abdul Nasser Al Shamsi, Chief Executive Officer of Al Wasl Club, marking the beginning of a new phase of cross-sector collaboration beyond traditional boundaries.
The agreement focuses on formulating a shared vision to strengthen ties and expand opportunities for collaboration and community work, as well as exchanging expertise and information. It aims to enhance charitable and volunteer activities to achieve the best outcomes and practices that serve the beneficiaries and benefit both parties. The agreement also covers cooperation in joint initiatives and campaigns, in addition to projects that contribute to serving the community. Furthermore, it seeks to activate the role of sports as a soft power to mobilize efforts in support of humanitarian and development initiatives both within the country and abroad.
On this occasion, H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Charity, said:
