In a vivid embodiment of its humanitarian and spiritual mission, Dubai Charity announced, through its Community Awareness and Education Department, the organization of an Umrah trip for a delegation of new Muslims as part of its activities and initiatives for 2025. The aim is to strengthen their religious grounding and enrich them intellectually and spiritually in the holy lands. The delegation departed from Dubai International Airport, Terminal 2, in a ceremony reflecting the charity’s commitment to this distinctive initiative

The departure of the delegation was attended by His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of Dubai Charity, who oversaw the farewell of the pilgrims. He affirmed that this initiative is part of the charity’s strategic priorities in caring for new Muslims and providing all means to spiritually integrate them into the Islamic community

The delegation includes 42 individuals, representing a select group of new Muslims, alongside a specialized supervisory team. They were accompanied by Mr. Khalid Mohamed Al Olama, Secretary General and Director of the Community Awareness and Education Department at the charity, to ensure that the trip proceeds according to the highest standards of quality and comfort

The charity fully funded the trip by providing airline tickets and comprehensive accommodation in five-star hotels near the Holy Mosque, ensuring the pilgrims the highest level of comfort and focus on worship. The program also included organized visits to historical and sacred sites in Mecca, aimed at connecting them with the Prophetic biography and the rich Islamic history. In addition, the delegation was accompanied by qualified supervisors and religious guides to support them step by step, teaching them how to perform the rituals correctly and smoothly, and answering their religious questions.

In this regard, Mr. Khalid Al Olama, Secretary General of Dubai Charity, said: 'Organizing this exceptional trip for new Muslims represents a practical and tangible embodiment of the UAE’s message advocating tolerance, and reflects our firm commitment to achieving spiritual empowerment for this valued group. This initiative is not merely a financial sponsorship for performing Umrah; it is a true investment in the spiritual and faith-based depth of these individuals who have chosen Islam as their path.

Al Olama added: 'We were keen to provide comprehensive five-star accommodations, not for luxury, but to emphasize the importance of welcoming them into their larger spiritual home, and to allow them to fully devote themselves to worship and reflection. The ultimate goal is spiritual grounding and eliminating any sense of alienation, by connecting them to the authentic source of Islam and enabling them to perform the rituals with ease and tranquility, accompanied by qualified guides who help them understand the life of the Prophet from the land of revelation

Al Olama concluded: 'We view these new Muslims as an integral part of our social fabric, and this delegation is the culmination of a series of educational and awareness programs. We wish them an accepted Umrah and praiseworthy efforts, and hope that this blessed visit marks the beginning of a stable and spiritually fulfilling life full of serenity
