Dubai Charity launches the “Iftar Sayem” initiative with 1,200,000 meals distributed inside and outside the UAE.

With the dawn of the first day of the holy month, Dubai Charity commenced the implementation of its humanitarian initiative, “Iftar Sayem,” aiming to distribute more than 1,200,000 meals both within the UAE and abroad.

This initiative embodies the authentic spirit of social solidarity that distinguishes the United Arab Emirates and serves as a living expression of the collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors, charitable institutions, and members of the community within an integrated system of giving.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Charity, stated: “The Iftar Sayem initiative represents a cornerstone of the Ramadan campaign ‘The goodness endures. The association aims to distribute 30,000 meals daily in the Emirate of Dubai, reaching a total of 900,000 beneficiaries per month, with a focus on workers and low-income individuals. This figure is subject to increase with the support of Ambassadors of Giving.

The initiative also extends beyond the UAE through the distribution of 285,000 meals, reaffirming the association’s cross-border humanitarian mission

The Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Charity added: The ‘Iftar Sayem initiative received an exceptional response from benefactors, with distribution operations commencing from the very first day across 31 strategic locations, including mosque courtyards, residential complexes, and key areas where workers gather in the Emirate of Dubai.”

He further noted that the association has adopted the highest standards of operational efficiency, in coordination with selected kitchens, to ensure the quality and safety of the meals—reflecting the nation’s progressive image and preserving the dignity of beneficiaries.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi reaffirmed the renewal of the partnership for the third consecutive year with Emirati productive families to prepare the meals, with the aim of integrating national talents into community work.

He explained that this approach represents a cornerstone of the association’s strategy to empower small national enterprises and enhance the quality of their services, enabling them to become active and sustainable partners in the journey of community giving.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi expressed his sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to all partners, including supporting institutions, entities, and individuals who generously contributed to the success of the “Iftar Sayem” initiative and to achieving this exceptional number of meals delivered to those in need throughout the blessed month.

His Excellency extended an open invitation to all those known for generosity and benevolence to continue their journey of giving and to further increase their support, with a view to expanding the number of beneficiaries and broadening the scope of the initiative.

He affirmed that the collective efforts of the community in this project help reinforce the values of humanitarian solidarity, and that donors will be rewarded with great merit and blessings during these blessed days.
