Dubai Charity Association has announced that, from the very first day of the blessed month of Ramadan, it has begun implementing the "Iftar sayem" initiative. The initiative involves distributing over one million meals both inside and outside the country throughout the holy month, reflecting a bright humanitarian spirit in the UAE, where efforts and resources come together through the collaboration of government and private sector institutions, charitable organizations, and individuals.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, emphasized that " Iftar sayem" is one of the key initiatives within a series of humanitarian and community-driven programs launched by Dubai Charity as part of its Ramadan campaign, " The goodness endure" This initiative reflects the association’s broad charitable and humanitarian ambitions, aiming to distribute approximately 25,000 meals daily in Dubai, primarily targeting labor housing areas and low-income communities. The total number of beneficiaries is expected to reach 750,000 during the holy month, with the potential to increase as more donations from Ambassadors of Goodness are received. Additionally, 259,000 Iftar meals will be distributed across 12 countries worldwide throughout Ramadan.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi stated: "The initiative to provide Iftar meals to fasting individuals from labor sectors and low-income groups has achieved great success and received widespread support from donors and Ambassadors of Goodness, as it is a cause close to their hearts.

Since the first day of Ramadan, the association has been distributing Iftar meals at 31 locations across Dubai, including mosque courtyards, labor accommodations, and areas where workers are present. This has been carried out in coordination with carefully selected and contracted kitchens, ensuring full compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards.

The Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association added: "As part of the implementation of the Iftar sayem initiative, the association has, for the second consecutive year, contracted a group of Emirati productive families to prepare Iftar meals.

Through this initiative, the association aims to integrate Emirati productive families into community activities, strengthen ongoing success, and foster social cohesion and cooperation among these families. By providing them with greater confidence in their ability to make a positive impact on society, we also support them in advancing their small and medium-sized enterprises, enabling them to deliver high-quality services to the community through the association’s projects.

Mr. Ahmed Al Suwaidi expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the institutions and individuals who contributed to the success of the "Iftar sayem" project, ensuring that a large number of meals reached those in need throughout the holy month.
