The General Command of Dubai Police honored the "Dubai Charity Association" for its efforts in enhancing community cooperation during the celebration of "Zayed Humanitarian Work Day." The event was organized by the General Command of Dubai Police and the Dubai Scouts Commission under the theme "A Touch of Loyalty to Zayed’s Giving" at the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Salem Al Darmaki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Scouts Association, His Excellency Retired Major General Abdulrahman Rafi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Scouts Commission, Mr. Khalid Al Ulama, General Secretary of the Association, and Mr. Adel Matar, Board Member of the Dubai Charity Association, along with a number of officers, officials, scout leaders, senior citizens, and orphans.
His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, presented the honorary shield to Mr. Adel Matar, Board Member of the Dubai Charity Association.
The evening commenced with the screening of a documentary showcasing the legacy of generosity established by Sheikh Zayed, followed by a performance titled "In Love with Zayed and Rashid" presented by students from the Al-Mashaer Center for the Care and Shelter of People of Determination.
On the sidelines of the event, Major General Al Ghaithi inaugurated the "Zayed’s Legacy: Scouting and Humanitarian Work" exhibition, coordinated with visual artists Khawla Al Hosani and Faiza Saeed Ahmed, in addition to a heritage exhibition featuring traditional handicrafts and products.
