A delegation from Dubai Charity, headed by H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of the Association, participated in the Dubai Mallathon initiative at City Centre Mirdif, following an invitation received from the Emirates Association for Parents Care and Filial Piety (Dubai Branch).
Dubai Mallathon is an innovative sports and community initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The initiative aims to transform some of Dubai's leading shopping malls into fully equipped, climate-controlled venues for walking and running throughout the summer months. Running daily from 15 June to 15 September, between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., the initiative is completely free of charge and open to people of all ages and fitness levels.
Dubai Charity's participation reflects its commitment to strengthening cooperation and collaboration with charitable and humanitarian organizations across the Emirate of Dubai, particularly the Emirates Association for Parents Care and Filial Piety. It also supports initiatives that encourage senior citizens and residents to adopt healthier, more active lifestyles and to actively engage in community sports activities.
On this occasion, H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Charity, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Emirates Association for Parents Care and Filial Piety (Dubai Branch) for the kind invitation. He affirmed that Dubai Charity remains committed to supporting pioneering national initiatives such as Dubai Mallathon, which promote a culture of physical activity, enhance public health and quality of life, and encourage making sport a sustainable daily habit for all members of society.
It is worth noting that Dubai Mallathon features dedicated walking and running tracks, as well as warm-up stations, across six major destinations: Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Hills Mall, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Deira, and Dubai Festival City, making physical activity accessible to everyone in a comfortable and motivating summer environment.
